Wesak Day 2026

Make 100,000x merits on Buddha’s birthday
One of the best times for merit-making is on holy days like Wesak, which commemorates Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and parinirvana. In the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, it is known as Saga Dawa Duchen — a time when positive actions bring 100,000x more merits!
In 2026, Wesak and Saga Dawa Duchen fall on the same day. That’s why this is the best day for us to make extra efforts to practice more generosity, virtue, compassion, better temperament, and conduct, in order to accumulate greater merit.
So join us on Wesak for a full day of virtuous deeds and make 100,000x merits with the whole family.
❤️ NEW FOR 2026: Pets and pawrents are invited to join our Wesak Festival in the forest too! Come visit with the furmily and give your furkids a special Wesak Day pet blessing from our sangha and pastors. The pet blessing service is available throughout the day from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm.
Pet & Pawrent Guidelines for a Pawsitive Experience
Let’s work together to create a peaceful, furbulous environment where everypawdy can relax, connect, and enjoy. Thank you for your cooperation and care!
🐾 Pet Toilet Time- Use the designated pet toilet areas. Stop by there first when you arrive before enjoying our grounds and facilities.
- Always pick up after your pet. Pet waste bins are provided to make it easy for you to dispose of any mess responsibly.
- If your pet isn’t toilet-trained, please have them wear a diaper.
- Your pet should be leashed (unless in the designated off-leash area) and always accompanied by their human. It helps ensure everyone stays safe and happy.
- For everyone’s comfort, only our outdoor areas are pet-friendly.
- Please keep your furry friends on the floor or in their stroller/carrier at all times — not on public furniture. We appreciate your understanding!
- You’re welcome to bring snacks, water and water bowls for your pet.
- Outside food for humans is not allowed. Food & drinks are available on-site.
- Blessings are always a special occasion so feel free to dress your pets in their best!
- Pawrents should also dress comfy yet respectful as you’ll be amongst monks and nuns in a Buddhist temple.
- No tight-fitting, sleeveless, or revealing attire. Yes to below-the-knee trousers/skirts/dresses, loose tops, etc.
- You may wish to bring along a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen & insect repellant to protect yourself from the elements.
- To help everyone fully enjoy a blessed day out, please ensure your pet is comfortable around both humans and other pets.
- It’s helpful if they can follow basic commands like sit, stay and no.
- Please be mindful of noise and be considerate to other guests, pets and pet parents.
- If your pet gets restless, take them for a little walk or break.
- For the well-being of all furriends, we recommend that your pet is up-to-date on vaccinations and is on a regular flea and tick prevention plan.
- To keep the space welcoming and clean for all, our pet marshalls may step in to ensure rules are followed.
- If necessary, a gentle penalty may apply, with all proceeds going to support our animal welfare initiatives:
- Penalties range between RM10 – RM50
- In rare cases, we may need to ask a pet and their owner to leave the premises
