Start this new chapter of your life with an auspicious blessing service for a happy and fulfilling union. This short spiritual ceremony is conducted by our pastors after the Registration of Marriage.

Our air-conditioned prayer hall seats over 100 guests, so you can have your family and friends with you on this special day.

FAQs

No, you don’t. The registration of marriage is a legal process not a religious one. Anyone of any faith can get married at Kechara except Muslims who are governed by Syariah law.

Yes, it is. Our Assistant Registrar of Marriages is appointed by the National Registration Department, so your marriage is legal under Malaysian law.

If you prefer to get married on a weekend or public holiday, please contact us to discuss special arrangements. Extra charges may apply; this will be advised at the time of booking.

Our marriage services are conducted at Kechara House in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. 

We can accommodate up to 20 guests for the marriage registration, and up to 100 guests for the blessing service.

To avoid disappointment, it’s best to make your booking as early as possible.

We’ll contact you within five working days to let you know if your preferred date and time is available.

We’ll confirm your booking when you make full payment. To avoid disappointment, it’s best to confirm as early as possible.

All documents must be submitted at least one month in advance. Please refer to the official website of the National Registration Department for the full list of documents.

Yes, you must submit your documents in person. We cannot accept submissions via third parties. This is a legal requirement.

Yes, you can amend your booking at least one month before the scheduled date. Only one change is permitted.

Unfortunately, all payments are non-refundable.

We recommend that the bride, groom and witnesses arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time. 

Please bring along the original ICs of the bride, groom and registered witnesses. We will verify your personal details before commencing the marriage registration.

If there is another booking scheduled, we reserve the right to reschedule your ceremony to another day.

Please observe the temple dress code. Shorts, see-through, tight-fitting or revealing attire are not suitable. The throwing of confetti, rice and flower petals is not permitted in the prayer hall.

The service is not available on Buddhist Festival Days, and during other Kechara events. Please check with us to avoid disappointment.
