Join us on Thursday, 29th September 2022 for a blessed recitation ritual which generates a wave of luminous wisdom.

‘Chanting the Names of Manjushri’ calls upon Manjushri’s blessings for the swift development of wisdom and mental faculties. Also known as Manjushri Namasamgiti, it contains the entire essence of Buddha’s teachings distilled in the form of Manjushri’s 108 sacred names.

Recitation of this text is particularly beneficial for students, people in the creative, education and communication industries, and for anyone who seeks greater wisdom.

We encourage you to join us to accumulate as many recitations as possible, to create the causes for wisdom, insight, clarity of mind and realisation of emptiness.

Event Details

The puja will be conducted by visiting Sangha from Shar Gaden, Serpom, Phelgyeling and Segyu monasteries, and led by His Eminence Kensur Rinpoche Jetsun Lobsang Phende and other high lamas and esteemed geshes.

Furthermore, this is one of the pujas recommended by H.E. Tsem Rinpoche prior to his parinirvana, to help students create the causes to swiftly find his unmistaken incarnation. Dorje Shugden also advised all Kecharians to collectively engage in this puja, to generate merits for the fruition of our Dharma projects and for the success of our efforts to preserve our lineage and Rinpoche’s legacy.

Admission to the puja is free and all are welcome to attend. If you are attending, you may wish to offer kuyong (a token monetary offering) to the Sangha who will be conducting the puja.

Who is Manjushri?

Manjushri is one of the most prominent Bodhisattvas in the Mahayana Sutras who manifested as a student of Buddha Shakyamuni in ancient times. His practice cultivates wisdom which lights the darkness of our ignorance. This ignorance is the cause of our suffering and the root of all the pain that we experience in our current rebirth. As such, it is often said that enlightenment is impossible without Manjushri.
