Khong Jean Ai is usually known as the daughter of Liaison Dato’ Ruby Khong but it seems this 25 year old is poised to make an impact for herself…we are happy to announce that Jean Ai has just been voted in as the youngest liaison to the Liaisons Council (much to her mother’s pride, we’re sure!).

Jean Ai has been a student of His Eminence Tsem Tulku Rinpoche since she was 11, after her parents met His Eminence on a trip to India. Having grown up under the Dharma umbrella, it was only a matter of time that she would join Kechara on a full-time basis. After graduating from the University of Warwick, Jean Ai became a member of the e-Division where she maintained the websites and wrote the monthly newsletter.

Recently however, she has changed portfolios and is now a member of the Private Office of His Eminence. The Private Office assists His Eminence by carrying out his direct instructions, whether secular or spiritual, and take care of His Eminence’s personal affairs.

When asked why she joined Kechara, she said, “After university, I could’ve done anything I wanted. But I wanted to prove to people that spirituality is the right choice, and not a last resort.”

“Anyway I think it is the best ‘job’ in the world,” she says, on becoming a liaison, “What kind of position actually requires you to improve yourself, so that you can benefit others?”

We would like to congratulate Jean Ai on this declaration of her commitment to her Dharma journey. We hope your example will inspire many others to join the spiritual path, and make His Eminence’s vision of Kechara World Peace Centre become a reality.
