Our First Tsongkhapa Retreat for 2012!

Our Spiritual Guide, H.E. Tsem Rinpoche, had previously advised that all study groups should do a Lama Tsongkhapa Retreat twice a year. As such, we began our first Tsongkhapa Retreat on 13 March 2012 and completed it on 8 April 2012. We collectively recited 112,292 mantras of Lama Tsongkhapa and did 1,404 water offerings. Mr Ash Ng from Singapore also joined the retreat.

All participants were required to be on a vegetarian diet throughout the Retreat. This helped to create the awareness on the benefits of being vegetarian. We also did 108 water offerings at every session to create the cause for wealth for participants and the residents in that area.

We dedicated the merits arising from the Retreat to Rinpoche’s long life to continue to turn the dharma wheel, for all departments of Kechara to grow, and especially for the smooth and swift manisfestation KWPC. We also dedicated the merits towards peace in the Johor Bahru and Skudai area, and for residents there to always have good health, good fortunes, and to be able to meet the Dharma always.

We also wish to create the cause to have harmony within our committee, members, participants and the residents there with this Retreat. We rejoice that we were able to do this 3 in 1 retreat with our Guru’s blessings so that we can receive wisdom, protection and compassion.
