We are pleased to announce that the Kuantan study group reached another milestone on 10 June 2012 by relocating to a bigger, swankier and cosier new place!

It was only 18 months ago that the committee comprising of Wong Suet Moi, Yeo Kwai Gin, Aw Wei Ling and Lim Chin San, led by President Leonard Chia, first established Kechara’s presence in Kuantan with the invitation of Lama Tsongkhapa on 10 October 2010. They started small but with consistent efforts in organizing meaningful activities such as weekly Setrap Pujas, Soup Kitchen rounds, Sunday Kids Classes, and Dharma classes, they fulfilled the conditions and standards to operate the premise as an activity centre of Kechara, under Kechara’s name and logo.

On this auspicious day, Kechara President Datuk May Phng offered congratulations and recognition of the Kuantan team‘s efforts to bring benefit to many by establishing the centre and organising the activities. The occasion was also graced by Y.B. Chang and Mrs Chang who wished the group success in bringing peace and harmony to Kuantan following Buddhist principles.
