Our June Lamrim Retreat was conducted from 11 to 16 June 2012, registering 120 participants. This is a slight drop from May numbers (137 participants) due to one of the retreat days being cancelled.  Nevertheless, we are set to bounce back in July! We thank our loyal supporters and welcome new Lamrim retreatants for their support!

The total recitation count still remains at 236 Lamrim texts, meaning we are 7,764 short of the 8,000 target!  We need to bring up the counts for the following chapters, in particular Chapter 14:

Chapter 14: The General Sufferings of Samsara; The Sufferings of Higher Rebirths
Chapter 13: Observing the Law of Cause and Effect
Chapter 22: Developing Mental Quiescence: The Perfection of Wisdom
Chapter 12: Taking Refuge in the Three Jewels
Chapter 15: Understanding the Causes of Samsara: The Path to Liberation

The Lamrim explains the stages of the path to enlightenment according to the different levels of motivation of Dharma practitioners.  As advised by Tsem Rinpoche, it is important to read and contemplate on the Lamrim as many times as possible in order for us to benefit from the Buddha’s teachings.
