Lamrim Class

29 June 2009 - 5:22pm 1 Comment

The Lamrim class focuses on the study of one of the greatest Buddhist texts of all time – The LAMRIM or The Stages On The Path To Enlightenment. It is one of the most important texts and is studied in the great monasteries including Gaden, Sera and Drepung. The root text was composed by the great scholar Atisha, and provides a complete guideline of the path to Enlightenment.

The reference text used in Kechara House is ‘Liberation in the Palm of your Hand’ by H.H. Kyabje Pabongkha Rinpoche. This class will also study other essential Mahayana texts such as Shantideva’s ‘Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life’ and Geshe Langri Tangpa’s ‘Eight Verses of Mind Transformation’.

Day: Thursday
Time: 8pm – 10:30pm
Venue: Kechara House (multipurpose hall)

The Lamrim class team include Kim Ng, Lim Han Nee, Tan Gim Lee, Thierry Janssens, Wan Wai Meng and Prof Choi.
