Say hello to Choi Sheem!

Dedication and commitment in the Kechara organisation does not go unnoticed, and when people have a clear affinity to the Dharma, we like to step in and encourage them. It is exactly why we have the 13 departments, so that those who wish to take their first steps on their spiritual path can find a method into the Dharma that best suits their temperament and needs.

For Choi Sheem, this path was Kechara Saraswati Arts (KSA). A former marketing executive for security paper (the stuff you use to print bank notes!), Choi Sheem has been a consistent volunteer for many months along with her husband Mr Lam, and two sons Jutika and Pavara. Happy to be surrounded by Buddhist art, Choi Sheem recently decided that the Dharma was the life and career for her…so we welcomed her with open arms!

If you drop by KSA between 2pm and 8pm, on Mondays to Saturdays, you will see Choi Sheem there working as hard as ever filling statues with mantras, stringing malas, beading and taking charge of volunteers coming to roll mantras. KSA would like to congratulate our long-time volunteer for finally joining our ranks as a full-time employee, and for coming into our Dharma family.

  1. Positively happy for Choi Sheem! I think I am not the only one who says she is one person we are happy to see when we go to KSA.

The beauty about her is her sincerity and the way she goes about helping others, trying her best, learning, doing and putting her best foot forward – these actions really encourage and inspire the people around her to do the same.

Volunteers, 1st timers, visitors will be in good hands as our Dharma sister is a good listener, teacher who is patient, kind, generous and a good sport! I am sure she will energize the creative team at KSA and together they will come up with more activities for everyone…

    Congratulations Choi Sheem!
