Adding a Drop to the (Fish Tank) of Compassion!

Not only does he strongly believe in taking care of everyone, but His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche also acts upon that belief. He showed this example recently with Kechara Saraswati Arts (KSA), the department that works so hard to help Kechara members and friends offer jewels and brocades on to their statues and thangkas.
Like many other departments, KSA staff have their own rest and relaxation area – in KSA’s case, it is known as the Hring Room. Already beautiful with comfortable sofas and fluffy cushions, Rinpoche added to the Hring Room’s beauty by sponsoring a six-foot fish tank for them!
Apart from being incredibly therapeutic and soothing to look at, the fish tank will also help KSA staff to cultivate care for animals. This is not the first time that Rinpoche has encouraged the adoption of animals to alleviate their suffering and generate compassion for beings that cannot say ‘thank you’ – many of Rinpoche’s friends and students have pets and fish tanks as a direct result of Rinpoche’s encouragement.
