Visiting Vietnamese Sangha

On June 26, 2015, Kechara Forest Retreat welcomed a group of Vietnamese sangha. These seven monks and nuns were in Malaysia to attend a course, had heard about Kechara Forest Retreat and wanted to visit our land to get ideas about how to develop their centres.

Pastors Yek Yee, Jay Jae and Henry took them on a tour of our land. They visited Wisdom Hall, the Vajrayogini Stupa, the Aviary, Dukkar Apartments and Manjushri Hill, where they watched volunteers engaging in preparations for the wealth box project. They were amazed by our modern buildings, beautiful statues, the landscape, accommodation and all the Dharma activities available.

After their tour, they had a brief but inspiring audience with H.E. Tsem Rinpoche who answered their questions about the practice of Vajrayogini and the attitudes of a student towards a teacher. The day ended with a vegetarian dinner, which we had the privilege to offer to them.

May the visit of this group of sangha generate the causes and energy for Kechara to manifest our own monks and nuns in the very near future!
