The Green Team at work!

As Kechara Forest Retreat (KFR) gears up for Phase 2 of our development, the Green Team have been hard at work beautifying the land to keep it as a lush, green oasis of peace and calm.

The month of May has been a happy one for the plants at KFR. Thanks to the consistent rainfall, flowers are blooming and the trees and grass are growing fast. The rain has been helpful in cooling down temperatures.

The creepers above Tara Walk are responding well to Pastor Antoinette’s Bach Flower treatments. To make efficient use of the space, the creepers planted alongside Tara Walk were passion fruit vines so the trellis provides both shade for walking meditators and produce for the KFR team.

Improvements have also been made to the landscaping at the main entrance of Kechara Forest Retreat. The main guardhouse, now completed, looks inviting with new greenery planted.

Meanwhile, outside Dukkar Apartments, Julia was seen sampling mature plants to make sapling for future plantings. This is both a cost-effective and environmentally-friendly method of producing more saplings to continue their work, which relies heavily on sponsorship. The Green Team will soon be shifting their focus to creating saplings and planting them in preparation for more landscaping works and boosting the organic vegetable farm.
