The Kechara World Peace Centre (KWPC) executive committee comprises of five respected, highly accomplished individuals who possess the skills, dedication and vision necessary to manifest a project of such magnitude.

These men and women work to give Malaysia an alternative cultural and learning institution that will benefit everyone and anyone for generations to come.


Datin Ng Wee Chin

Datin Ng is a successful entrepreneur who is very well established in the local business scene. With her solid network of business contacts and her resourcefulness, Datin has all the tools available to her to garner support from among her associates in the industry that could be an advantage. Her familiarity with the local business regulatory environment makes her indispensible in helping the team maneuver through the intricate processes of securing the necessary approvals and rights.

Datuk May has a proven track record in establishing and running a very successful business empire with interests in property development, automotive assembly, manufacturing and retail. Her company currently owns and operates the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf franchise in China with a chain of 27 outlets. She also sits on the Board of Trustees of the Malaysian Rubber Export Promotion Council, is a Director of Malcorp (Malaysian Consortium of Rubber Products) and an Executive Committee Member of the Malaysian Rubber Products Manufacturers’ Association.

Her forte is in management, operations and fund raising and her business acumen and expertise is an invaluable contribution to the team. She is fully engaged in the project not for its building but for what it really stands for, a place that would benefit countless beings.


Henry Ooi

Henry is one of the pioneers of the Kechara Organisation who has been involved in the every phase of its development and growth, choosing to commit his life full-time to a cause he believes in.  He therefore understands well the workings of a spiritual organization and the needs of spiritual seekers.

Henry is a people person and his strength lies in counseling and managing people and he does that well due to his experience and wisdom through his many years of service. He is passionate about his work and has made it his mission to be part of the team that is instrumental in establishing the Kechara World Peace Centre for the benefit of the people and the country.


Ngeow Voon Chin

Mr. V. C. Ngeow is a board certified Chartered & Professional Civil Engineer by profession, presently operating his own Property Development firm in Kuala Lumpur. Therefore his expertise is a direct asset to the planning and construction of the various phases of the development project. As the consulting engineer, he oversees the design, monitoring, contract administration of construction and the operation and execution of the project.

Mr. Ngeow is also currently the head of Kechara’s Education Committee, spearheading the education of adults and children at Kechara House. He is fully committed in accomplishing his mission to take Kechara to the next level and contribute towards the birth of Kechara World Peace Centre.


JP Thong

JP Thong is a graduate of New York University with corporate experience in time-share resorts, management of property and hotel investments and the furniture trade. Being also a talented singer, JP has performed in corporate functions as well as very established theatres in Kuala Lumpur such as The Actors Studio and The KL Performing Arts Centre.

JP is currently the Director of Operations of Tsem Ladrang, the residence and private office of H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, taking charge of fund raising and all secular needs of His Eminence. He coordinates all major Ladrang projects, key events, public relations, communications and fundraising initiatives. JP is respected in the organisation as a very capable manager, results-driven but kind and nurturing towards his team. His drive stems from wanting to be of benefit to others always. His dedication to the organisation, experience in hospitality and his astute management capabilities makes him a valuable asset to spearhead the establishment of Kechara World Peace Centre as a world-class tourist destination.
