Good morning from Oklahoma!

My name is Andree and I live in Oklahoma City. I saw the story about Wall-e and was moved to awe. I did not hear of this on the local news, so I have messaged our news channel to find more information. I will send you word once I find out.

Oklahomans love their pets – we have some no-kill shelters and our Congress is taking action to ban puppy mills. There is also a constant drive to get all shelters to be no-kill zones.

A small farming community lost a shelter due to a wildfire. One of the volunteers saved half of the animals, and some were simply set free but the horses perished. However, many in the community were moved to action.

Thank you for your love and care that reaches us even in Oklahoma.
