KECHARA Dinner Auction – featuring Wannabe Girls & Swank Legs!!!

22 July 2010 - 8:51pm Comments Off

At the recent KECHARA charity dinner, diners got involved with the Kechara cause all night long, bidding on a whole slew of works of art ranging from secular pearl necklaces and jade pendants, to antique thangkas and modernised wealth vases. When they were not bidding, they were entertained by the likes of Nonya and Baba (who led a conga line!), Salamiah Hassan (who sang in Malay and English!), and magic by Johnson Lau (who pulled a girl out of a box!).

The highlight of the night were our very own Kechara erm…beauties, Swank Leg, the Black Swans and the Wannabe Girls! All three thrilling acts brought the roof down as they pranced and danced their way across the stage, breaking their egos and splitting everyone’s sides with laughter.

  1. When people are down and out, and living on the streets. they need more than food. the homeless need a chance to get back on their feet and be independent and have their own self esteem. The sick needs medical care, medications and sometimes hospitalised. Peope like Jit who has been living out on the streets for 3 years and who has relatives needs to be reunited with her family. KSK has done just thatand helped to get another homeless off the street to be reunited with her family. So KSK does not just feed the homeless but also provide abovementioned serviices with the main aim to get them off the streets and help them to get back into the mainstream of society. Syabas to KSK for a great job well done. Of coursee with the help of the Star Media.
