A dinner to feed northern hopes

15 April 2011 - 4:37pm Comments Off

Kechara Soup Kitchen (KSK) Penang has been in operation for more than a year now. Led by its Center Director Patsy Gooi, KSK Penang have been walking the streets of Penang every week to distribute over 200 packets of food to our homeless clients.

Recognising the need to provide our clients with better service, as well as assist more of Penang’s homeless community, KSK recently rented a shoplot in Halaman Ariffin, off Jalan Burma in Georgetown with an aim of reaching out to more people who are in need.

In light of our progress, KSK Penang is organising its first ever fundraising dinner to raise funds for the cost of the building’s renovation and its operating expenses.

With the new building in place, we will be able to reach out to more homeless people in Penang. Not only does KSK aim to feed only their stomachs but also their minds, through the assistance and support that we can provide to help them get off the streets for good…so please support our cause!
