Beneficiaries from KSK's Food Bank attending Haloween party organised by Kids Sunday Dharma School (KSDS)

Kechara Soup Kitchen was among the NGOs invited to participate in “The Uncommon Good” NPO fair held on Friday and Saturday organised by MAKNA.

Total food distributed for the week was 2,202 sets.

25 cartons of “OISHI” green tea drinks donated by JOCOM were redistributed to needy families and NGO partners. Electrical appliances, straw mats and foodstuff were distributed to 20 families in Kg Seberang Tok, Penang. Pak Su, the village head presented KSK committee member Patsy Gooi a certificate of appreciation.

Four needy families under KSK’s food bank programme were invited to participate in a Halloween party organised by Kechara’s Sunday Dharma School (KSDS) on Sunday. To date, RM4,245 has been raised for the needy family that was reported last week. A total of RM12,250 is needed to cover their medical expenses and livelihood for a year. The father, Ganesan, lost his driving job due to multi-level degenerative disease, the mother is an amputee with deteriorating eyesight, the oldest son sleeps with the help of breathing apparatus and had to stop schooling due to the family’s situation.
