It is one of the core commitments for practitioners engaging in highest yoga tantra to generate tremendous merits\, and restore and reaffirm their vows and pledges. In Kechara\, the practice of tsog is based on the Lama Chopa — a powerful prayer which incorporates all the essential teachings of Buddha. It includes extensive offerings to the entire merit-field (Buddhas\, Bodhisattvas\, lineage lamas\, etc.)\, thus accumulating a tremendous amount of positive spiritual energy to progress along the spiritual path\, especially tantra.
