After a long school holiday filled with many fun moments, the Manjushri Kids’ Class (MKC) reopened for a whole new term of classes on 10th January 2010. With 28 children there to attend the first class of term, the room was buzzing with kids excited to learn Dharma and see all their friends again.

The children’s teachers, Han Ling, Tan Gim Lee, Ashlee Tam and Alex Tan, were all there to welcome their students for the new term. The class began with an offering of light to the Three Jewels, and a preliminary prayer led by Alex Tan. After the preliminary prayers, Alex, Ling and Gim Lee gathered the children to introduce to them the upcoming Grand Setrap & Dzambala Puja 2010.

The teachers explained to the children what the event is all about, how MKC will be setting up an arts and craft booth, and how the children will also be performing a mantra singing session during the event. When encouraged to participate in the activities, the children were very enthusiastic to volunteer.

And so begins another term of classes! For more information regarding the MKC, to volunteer as a teacher or to sponsor any of the activities please contact Kechara House at +603 7803 3908 (or [email protected]).
