Afew weeks ago, Marianne Liow proposed to Dato’ Ruby Khong that she wished to organise a simple afternoon tea for 100 pax (at RM200 per ticket) and donate a few pieces of her personal collection for auction and lucky draw.

We put the whole event together quite effortlessly within a few days. Ben Yong (of B.I.G) agreed to sponsor food and the venue (he had to close his restaurant on a busy Saturday afternoon for this), florist Kechara Blooms donated 17 posies for the tables, Wan San provided live background music on violin, Clifford was the cameraman and JP Thong was our charming auctioneer. The Mak Datins love him!

We actually oversold and had a full house of 120 pax. It was a fun yet meaningful afternoon among friends for a good cause and creating public awareness.

Below are some photos.
