Yvonne graduated from Kuan Ching High School, and since then, she had been working as a Stock Control Executive for the past 6 years in the retail jewellery industry, both in Malaysia and overseas. Since then, she developed good inventory management skills and a passion for jewellery design.
On the 28th December 2009, Yvonne joined Kechara Discovery full time and she handles Human Resource, Administration and Finance-related responsibilities for Kechara Discovery.

She plans to work hard with Kechara Discovery to promote Buddhism and Tsem Rinpoche’s vision through the creation of beautiful Buddha images especially for the manifestation of Kechara World Peace Center.
Louise Lee
Age: 31
Louise Lee has always been a hardworking and polite person. Her involvement in Kechara began with “Legend of Conch Shell”, a dance production by Kechara House in 2009. Wearing thick black glasses, sporting short hair, and always ever-ready to jump into action, Louise was one of the main committee members of the production team, working closely with Mr. Ngeow, Yoke Fui, Yek Yee, Yvonne, Elaine, Ms. Han and many other key members from Kechara. She was responsible for the logistics, timetable and customer care – a heavy responsibility for someone so new to the Kechara family. Yet she continued to contribute greatly to the organisation as a volunteer, without any complaints or hesitations.
During that time, Louise was earning a good income as a sales and marketing manager in a company distributing precision measuring instruments world wide. However, she had the opportunity to be present during a talk given by H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche at an appreciation dinner . During the dinner, Rinpoche said, “If you don’t do Dharma now, when will you do it?” This had a great impact on Louise, and on the spot, she has decided to work for Dharma and joined Kechara Discovery full time, contributing her skills and talents to the organisation.
Andy Lee Chin Wee
Age: 27
Born to a family of 3 siblings, Andy is the youngest at 27 years old. He is a graphic designer and has been in the media industry for the last 4 years ever since he graduated from The One Academy. During his free time, he is always surfing the web to learn about the Dharma. However, on one fine afternoon in December 2007, Andy Lee chanced upon Kechara House’s website and he started to listen to Tsem Rinpoche’s Dharma talk on YouTube and began browsing for more information. Kechara.com quickly became one of his main source of Dharma knowledge and before he knew it, his thirst for the Dharma laid a firm foundation for Andy’s future Dharma work. Andy got to know Kechara House even better when he started attending Pujas, Classes, and everything culminated with him taking Tsem Rinpoche’s advice to his heart. Andy began to volunteer at Kechara Discovery with some design work and that is how he put Dharma into practice.
Since 2007, it has been three years of constant love and care that Andy has invested in Kechara Discovery, as part of his Dharma practice.
At this time, Andy is about to further his studies from October 2010 onwards. He is planning to major in Computer Graphic design, a twinning program between KBU college in Petaling Jaya and Nottingham Trent University. In the meantime, Andy is spending three days a week in Kechara Discovery with photography, graphic design, layout, editing, and all other miscellaneous work.
Andy is always appreciative for the opportunity to do Dharma work and he always show it by saying a big thank you for allowing him the opportunity to collect merits.
Lim Bee Yen
Age: 34
Chartered Accountant, MIA member
(Written by Paul Yap)
I first got to know Bee Yen when I was still working as the Senior Finance Manager in a manufacturing company located at Shah Alam. In 2003, Bee Yen was doing an annual company statutory audit for my company. She has always been a very hardworking and a detailed worker. She would always knock on my door to acquire information for her audit senior and manager, she would always ask tons of never ending questions because she wanted to find out more to accomplish her task. This shows her commitment and amazing attitude towards her responsibility at work. Through our daily interactions, I found out that we came from the same secondary school. Her sister and I graduated in the same year of the same school and that was how we got to know each other.
In 2004, Bee Yen came to audit my company again but this time, she was promoted to Senior Auditor. Thus, she was leading her own team of auditors and we met up again in my office at Shah Alam. In 2004, I had already started to become an active volunteer of Kechara House. I started talking and promoting H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche’s teachings and Kechara House to Bee Yen. At that time, we only had Kechara House because the departments had not manifested yet. Bee Yen was able to remember every single word I told her about Rinpoche’s vision and mission. It was not until late 2005 when we officially opened Kechara House in Sunwaymas that Bee Yen offered her weekend’s to volunteer and assist me with Finance and Accounting work.
This year has been the 6th year since Bee Yen first started volunteering in Kechara. She is well-versed with the SME accounting software, and being in the audit and accounting industry for the past 9 years, she developed excellent skills in managing Finance and Accounts for my department.
Currently, Bee Yen works twice a week in Kechara Discovery while heading Finance and Accounts’ work and she is supported by Yvonne, who is being trained by her. Bee Yen is setting up a good system and documentation for Kechara Discovery. Whenever I am away overseas to source for Buddha statues, I can always count on her to get things done although I am not there to oversee her work.
Looking into the future, the current accounting system would be improved upon so that accounting work would more effective and efficient. I am sure Bee Yen will definitely be a part of this exciting ‘future’.
Lili Ng
A mother of two, Lili Ng had been an air stewardess for six years before becoming a full-time housewife. This was around the time when Lili started learning more about Kechara, through the arts at Kechara Saraswati Arts. At that time, Kechara Discovery had a small office within the KSA premises.
A talented lady with a deep interest in the arts and crafts, Lili loves to paint as well as all other things creative. She volunteers her time with Kechara Discovery every Monday where she helps in line drawing, painting and designing products.
“In 2008, I started a project to create the Grand Setrap Tsa-tsa for Kechara Discovery. I worked closely with a Malaysian artist to make this Buddha image locally, while ensuring the iconography was accurate and visually. attractive When the tsa-tsa was finally ready, I requested Lili to work with me on the colours. The colours had to follow scriptural descriptions, and had to represent Setrap’s energy and personality as a protector.
Lili and I spent about two weeks on this project, finalising the colour tones and creating a standard for other volunteer artists to follow. The outcome was simply amazing – everyone who saw the full coloured tsa-tsa immediately fell in love with it.” – PAUL YAP
Today, Lili Ng also actively participates in Setrap Puja, Manjushri classes, and is making Kechara her second home. As she looks ahead to Kechara World Peace Center, Lili Ng is definitely striving to be part of this meritorious project by becoming one of the renowned artists of Kechara in KWPC.
