Linda Lee in Gratitude

Your Eminence,

Words cannot
describe
my
joy
and surprise at
receiving
your
precious
gifts, which
arrived today! I
was
not
expecting
such
a
lovely
and
large
statue of
Green Tara and the beautifully
katak-wrapped
book.
What special
gifts! I will
surely remember your
generosity
fondly each time I
look
at
them.
From the
bottom of my heart:
thank you. I
look forward
to
reading
your
book
Gurus For
Hire.

I
have attached photos of my
personal shrine.
My dog Kaepa likes
to hang
out in the shrine room and does so
every
morning while I
do prayers.
Gledi,
the
other one,
is my
’guard’
dog. She likes to lie right outside the doorway.

I
also
wanted to share
this:
I was
in
Los Angeles at about
the
same
period of time as
Rinpoche.
And
while Rinpoche
engaged
in virtuous activities
at the
dharma center,
I
was likely engaged in less virtuous activities of a university student.

I share the same
fondness of Madonna
and horror
movies, paranormal
Activity
being one of my
favorites.

Congratulations on the new
Kechara
House’s imminent grand
opening. How very exciting.
I rejoice in everyone’s
joy
in
experiencing this historical moment, and for the flourishing of dharmic activities for the benefit of all beings
this will be. I hope I may be of
some
assistance
in the
future, whatever that may
be. I look forward
to
the day I
may be
able
to visit Kechara
House
and
Rinpoche.

Until
then, please
take good
care
of
your
health, and I
pray
for
your
long life.

In Gassho,
Linda Lee
