Kids will be kids!

Kechara’s departments regularly organise outings for their staff, so why should the kids be left out? A bunch of Kechara young’uns gathered last Saturday at 1Utama’s Golden Screen Cinemas for the screening of The Last Air Bender. Organised by Kechara Care, our motivation was to bring the kids and their older counterparts (let’s just call them youths for now!) together to bond over the movie.

Waiting for things is more bearable when there's a phone to play with!

Personally selected by His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche, the movie was interesting for its Buddhist themes. The story centred on a young monk who discovers he is the lone Avatar and possesses the power to manipulate all four elements…very entertaining! The kids stormed out of the cinema play-fighting and reenacting kung fu moves, probably hoping they’d gained power of some sort from watching the movie!

Sorry kids, no powers this time…maybe from the next movie, eh?

After the movie, some of the kids joined in the midnight Kechara Soup Kitchen rounds!
