Introducing Buddhism

4 March 2010 - 3:27am Comments Off

Why are some Buddhas so fierce, and others look so gentle? Why ARE there so many Buddhas?
WHO is Buddha?

How can I make offerings? Why should I have an altar?

Why do you guys prostrate? Do I have to wear robes? Are you going to turn me into a monk?!

If these are questions you’ve asked (and more!), join our Introduction to Buddhism class on 14 March 2009 at Kechara House 2!

Come at 9:30am and chat to Kechara members over a free hot drink! We’ll begin at 10am, with our two-hour event ending with a free vegetarian lunch* from Kechara Oasis. You’ll also get the chance to win prizes during our Q&A session!

If you’re free afterwards, why not join us on our Mini Tour? From 2:30pm to 4:30pm, we’ll take you to Kechara House 1 and 2, as well as Kechara Media & Publications, Kechara Discovery, Kechara Saraswati Arts, Kechara Paradise SS2 and (take a deep breath!) the site of our new gompa!

This event has limited seating so hurry and book your place today! For more information or to reserve a spot, call Kechara Care’s administrator May Ong at +6012 388 8589 or direct your enquiries to may.ong@kechara.com.

*As one of Kechara’s newest departments, Kechara Care can be found at every Kechara event helping to make newcomers feel welcome to the organisation. Led by Liaison Chuah Su Ming, the team are working hard to establish their department as one which nurtures members throughout their spiritual journey so help to support their work! Attendees are invited to make a suggested donation of RM5, to help us cover the cost of the event.
