Highlights of the Week

4June – Lions Club of Georgetown Mutiara sponsored 100 packets hot food, drinking water and cakes, and helped to distribute the food to our less fortunate clients on the streets.

5 – 8 June – As part of their community service, Citibank staff came to pack and distribute food that they sponsored.

9 – 10 June – A 2-day roadshow was held in Penang Times Square. We set up the Kechara Food Bank bin and shoppers donated lots of food items, which filled up the bin by the end of the roadshow! We shared some of the donated food with House of Hope, an NGO, which also provides food to poor families. One of our volunteers from Indonesia, Ching Hon, also came to support us. From our donation box, we collected around RM950.
