Kechara Receives The Malaysian NGO Award 2012

On 5 July 2012, Kechara Soup Kitchen Malaysia received the Malaysian NGO Award 2012. This award recognizes NGOs with big ideas but small budgets.

The winner of this award was the Malaysian Breast Cancer Council. Second place was MAA Dialysis Centre and Kechara came in third.

Organized and run by UK-based Resource Alliance, the NGO Awards recognizes and celebrates outstanding achievements in fundraising whilst setting aspirational standards and sharing best practices on a global scale.

The Resource Alliance’s mission is to be the global network for fundraising, resource mobilization and philanthropy. The regional office is run by a good friend Miss Ann Woo, ex CEO of Nanyang Press Foundation. It was an honour to be standing on stage together with YB. Dato’ Sri Dr. Ng Yen Yen and Puan Sri Siew Yong Gnanalingam (Board of Trustees of Resource Alliance Malaysia).
