Kechara visits KSK

It might have been late at night, but it didn’t stop this group of Kecharians from making their way down to Jalan Barat to check out what everyone’s been raving about!

Brightly lit and standing proudly on the street was the organisation’s latest building, Kechara Soup Kitchen’s (KSK) permanent home. This Kechara department started operations in their own home this past weekend and by all accounts, it was a smashing success!

Make sure you go and check it out for yourself! Every day Kechara brings you more and more opportunities to help the community so make sure you’re not left behind!

Oh and by the way – KSK are on the lookout for a graffiti artist to decorate their roller shutters so if you know of anyone, feel free to give Project Directors Justin Cheah a shout at +6012 203 2135 or Chua Siong Woan at +6010 3333 260.

Having a laugh in the new building

Both the young and not-so-young can volunteer with KSK

After the visit, most of the group adjourned for supper

Noisy Kecharians occupied half the restaurant!

  1. That is soo cool that graffiti art will be prominently displayed. So many of these artists are labeled as criminals when they are are anything but…

This is a fantastic development for Kechara as well. Try going for a month without any promise of food or shelter, or people who even care if you die or not. I bet you would open a shelter the second you get enough funds.

This happens in America, too, guys. Ask Tsem Rinpoche, heck, ask ME, I live here and I see it everyday. You’re all smart people and I assume you already knew Americans are starving everywhere too. It’s GLOBAL, and it’s not going away soon. The solution is compassion. Many people do not realize that compassion for others DIRECTLY AFFECTS THEM.
