Funds

With the new Kechara Soup Kitchen building, we need funding to make it fit for our purposes. Please see our wishlist to find out what else we need for our new building.

Our long-term objective is to establish a nurture centre, so that we can permanently reduce the number of people living on the streets. For our vision to materialise, we need funding in the form of cash donations or pledges. All cash donations will be acknowledged with an official receipt. Our bank details are as follows:

Food

From our humble beginnings as a group of friends sponsoring the rounds themselves, Kechara Soup Kitchen has since grown to distributing over 1,500 packets of food each week. As such, we have a constant need for sponsorship of fruits, breads, biscuits, bottled drinks and other halal food items. We accept corporate sponsorship (for example, from food and beverage companies) as well as private sponsorship.

Clothing

Kechara Soup Kitchen seeks unused or used clothes, raincoats, umbrellas, shoes, hats, etc for both men and women, and in any size. Please ensure all clothing donated is clean and in good condition.

Medical Supplies

In order to provide basic first aid care, Kechara Soup Kitchen is seeking sponsorship of first aid kits or supplies for first aid kits, such as antiseptic creams, iodine, bandages, Panadol, cotton wool, etc.
