Apprentice of Kechara Oasis
At one point of my life while I was still working in a bank, I felt stagnant and wanted to move on with my spiritual development. My prayers were answered when I met His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche nearly two decades ago – that moment was the beginning of my spiritual odyssey.
Until then, I had received many teachings from various Buddhist teachers. However, I did not realise I was not integrating their teachings into my daily life. Meeting His Eminence empowered my spiritual progress and mind transformation to another level, giving me the conviction that realising one’s potential to sustainable happiness is possible.
When His Eminence prompted me to start a vegetarian restaurant, I immediately embraced the idea and took on the challenge despite a lack of experience in running a restaurant. I have not looked back since in making His Eminence’s vision a reality and growth.
I am extremely fortunate to have met His Eminence. He is a highly attained and accomplished Lama of our time who uses modern skilful methods to assist people in fulfiling their individual goals through Buddha’s teachings. His Eminence is genuinely compassionate as he has the sole wish to liberate all beings from suffering. I also believe every being deserves sustainable happiness; it is my passion to become the light to share this benefit with as many people as possible.
Although my interest is in Buddhist philosophy, my hobby is reading on health, nutrition, food and travelling. I have been an engaged Buddhist for more than 24 years, having fund-raised for charity and led pilgrimages to Buddhist power places. I also dabble in writing, graphic design and cooking.
