At a recent Liaisons’ Council meeting, it was decided that the name of our retreat land Tsem Kachö Ling would be changed to Kechara World Peace Centre.
To mark this auspicious change of name, 24 people headed up to the land this weekend to check out the progress for themselves. Amongst the group were members of the KWPC Executive Committee, as well as Kechara’s guests of honour this past week Raj Kumar and his wife Sangita.
Together with the architect and engineer, the group were taken on a tour of the land, going to the very spot where the Ladrang will stand once KWPC is built. They were given the opportunity to traverse the now-famous tree bridge, and examine the spots where the land was drilled during the investigative work supervised by Liaison Ngeow Voon Chin.
Kechara is going to bigger and better heights, and it seems our next stop is the highlands of Malaysia!

The group walked along the route of the magic hand which did minimal clearing of the land, so that investigative work could be carried out on the terrain

Our troopers marching along, shiny yellow boots and all!

The group had the opportunity to visit the land that the Ladrang will be built on

KWPC will be built with every respect given to nature and preserving its beauty

The group reported cool, temperate weather that was very pleasant to walk in

Being up in the highlands means a lot of slopes and slippery terrain for the group to navigate
