Every contribution is greatly appreciated – no matter how big or small. We accept donations of any amount via various payment methods including cheque, online payment, bank transfer, via the Tsem Rinpoche Foundation, Inc. or at a donation box at any of Kechara’s premises. For more payment methods, please click here. You may also choose from one of our structured fundraising initiatives.

Trees and plants are an essential part of the Kechara Forest Retreat, and they require regular maintenance and care. As the forest retreat is on 35 acres of land with various topographies and soil conditions, and a vast variety of flora and fauna, the work needed to maintain this natural forest environment is no small feat. Please help us maintain this green paradise for many more generations to come. One can sponsor a one off maintenance, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months.

(RM 200)

Trees, grasses and greens are the lungs of the Earth and an essential part of the Kechara Forest Retreat (KFR). In particular, vetiver or Kusha grass is a fast growing and hardy grass that will help stabilize and beautify the environment. By contributing to the greening of the Kechara Forest Retreat, you are not only helping the environment, but you are also making an offering directly to the Three Jewels as the whole environment is created for growth of the Buddha Dharma. Trees are available in heights of 1-3ft, 3-5 ft, 5ft-7ft and 7ft to 10ft. Vetiver is available at RM200/6meter square.

Contributing towards the building of a place of worship, Sangha living quarters or Buddha statues is extremely meritorious. Every sponsor of a Healing Brick will have their name and dedication inscribed on the brick, and prayers and offerings will be dedicated daily on their behalf.

(RM 2,000)A lifetime of lights offered in your name

  • Your name or dedication will be engraved on the butterlamp holder.
  • Your butterlamp holder will be placed in the butterlamp house at the Kechara Forest Retreat.
  • The offering of light to the Enlightened ones increases wisdom, wealth and creates the causes for a strong and healthy body.

(RM 10,000)

Sponsor a Medicine Buddha statue, which will be placed at key locations on the Medicine Buddha Hill, an international healing sanctuary within the Kechara Forest Retreat. Your sponsorship will be used to fund the building and construction of this iconic project. Contributing towards the building of a place of worship, Sangha living quarters or Buddha statues is extremely meritorious. Every sponsor of a Medicine Buddha statue will have their name and dedication inscribed on the base of the statue. Prayers and offerings will be dedicated daily on their behalf, thus bringing the benefits of long life, purification of negativities and creating a powerful connection with the Medicine Buddha for healing in times of need.

(RM 25,000)

Sponsor a traditional Tibetan prayer wheel, to be placed along walking meditation and circumambulations paths around Tara Walk, Medicine Buddha Hill and Manjushri Hill within the Kechara Forest Retreat. Your sponsorship will be used to fund the building and construction of this iconic project. Contributing towards the building of a place of worship, Sangha living quarters or Buddha statues is extremely meritorious. Every sponsor of a Prayer Wheel will have their name inscribed on the prayer wheel. Each turn of the wheel is equivalent to reciting thousands of mantras, thus collecting tremendous merits and good karma for the sponsor on a daily basis.

Your help is crucial. With one person or Kechara Earth Project (KEP) alone we cannot do more. However with more effort sure we can instil more positive energy and impacts to make our planet greener.

Here’s how you can offer your help:

Be a volunteer

You can volunteer for event or activity organized by KEP from time to time. Or you can offer yourself as our recycling volunteer to help out at the recycling site.

Be a daily green warrior

Collect and drop your recyclables to our recycling site. A small effort a day, will make a huge impact.

Be a social media person

Write article or report on KEP event to promote green message. Your sharing and promotion on social media such as Facebook will definitely help. It will educate and create more awareness on preserving our planet.

Be a green lover

Lend your green skills by teaching other how to grow herbs, plants, flowers; composing or coking healthy food.

Since the beginning, Kechara has thrived on the generosity of many individuals. This generosity has allowed Kechara to expand from a small house in Kelana Jaya, Malaysia into an organisation with a full-fledged temple and 13 departments dedicated to spreading ancient Buddhist wisdom.

If you have benefited from H.E. Tsem Rinpoche’s teachings and would like to contribute to Kechara’s growth, and the spread of Rinpoche’s teachings, please select the method that suits you best.

Your support of Kechara House’s activities will create the causes for Kechara Forest Retreat (KFR) to manifest. With Rinpoche’s guidance, KFR will be more than large buildings spreading empty teachings – KFR will attract real practitioners who are interested in practising the Dharma and gaining attainments.

At KFR local students would also learn and be equipped to become Dharma teachers themselves. From the creation of a local Sangha community, eminent teachers will arise to transmit the Dharma, bringing Buddhism to the mass consciousness and benefiting countless beings for generations to come.

In supporting Kechara’s activities, not only are you helping to maintain a place for Buddhist practice and study, but you will be helping to preserve Lama Tsongkhapa’s lineage and traditions.

Sponsor

Help us grow further by making a donation. If you find H.E. Tsem Rinpoche’s Dharma teachings beneficial, please do contribute to make them continuously available, so that more people can enjoy the benefits you have experienced.

Dharma sponsors create an immeasurable amount of merit and pacify obstacles in their practice. When such students become more receptive towards the Dharma, they create the conditions for teachers such as H.E. Tsem Rinpoche to live long and continue to teach.

If you would like to donate for a specific item, for example candles or offerings, please indicate your preference. Alternatively, sponsorship can be in kind or can be a general donation. An official receipt will be provided for all sponsorship received.

Volunteer

Financial sponsorship is not the only way for practitioners to help to spread the Dharma. Understanding that there are students who are keen to engage in active Dharma practice, Kechara House offers volunteers the chance to serve in the Dharma.

We welcome anyone who is enthusiastic, sincere and has the wish to benefit others. An organisation is only as good as the people in it – join us now and help bring Buddha’s wisdom to the world.

Wishlist

Kechara House makes offerings on a daily basis to the Three Jewels. We welcome your contribution to fulfill our wishlist of items for offering and maintenance items:

  • Flowers
  • Candles
  • Incense
  • Pearls
  • Books
  • Teabags and beverages
  • Fruits and vegetarian foods for offerings
  • Housekeeping items

Since the beginning, Kechara has thrived on the generosity of many individuals. This generosity has allowed Kechara to expand from a small house in Kelana Jaya, Malaysia into an organisation with 13 departments dedicated to spreading ancient Buddhist wisdom.

We are self-supported and funded exclusively through volunteer involvement, sponsorship, donations and fundraising.  100% of everything that we receive goes to promote and sustain our services that help people live happier, healthier and more fulfilling lives.

The effectiveness of Kechara’s departments and programs depends on the generous support of businesses and individuals just like you.  While we welcome financial contributions to sustain our organisation, we also greatly appreciate volunteer involvement and in-kind donations.

Financial sponsorship is not the only way for practitioners to help to spread the Dharma. Understanding that there are students who are keen to engage in active Dharma practice, H.E. Tsem Rinpoche inspired Kechara’s 13 departments so that everyone would have the chance to serve in the Dharma.

Kechara is always looking for volunteers to help us bring Buddha’s wisdom to the world. An organisation is only as good as the people in it, so we welcome anyone who is enthusiastic, sincere and has the wish to benefit others – prior experience is useful, but not necessary!

Choose to be part of the problem or part of the solution.”

Anyone interested in donating, sponsoring, volunteering for a worthy cause, working with Kechara, or offering any support and help, or directing a comment toward one of our departments or activities is invited to get in touch with us. Donations – A Sincere Appeal

We are currently embarking on a campaign to raise funds towards the building of Kechara World Peace Centre, the spiritual retreat centre that will bring tremendous benefit to many.  As we are still far from reaching the target, we pray that you will be able to contribute generously to the fund with an open heart.  No matter if it is a long term regular donation or simply a random contribution, any amount is highly appreciated.

In view of this noble venture, we are extending our sincere invitation to you to assist us in our various fundraising avenues. This is also a golden opportunity to acquire merit for oneself and a way to extend compassion to all sentient beings by upholding and spreading the Dharma in a beneficial way.

Monthly Cash Donations

Regular monthly donations are extremely helpful in allowing us to plan our finances in a more stable manner.  Of course, you may still stop making monthly payments or change the amount of your monthly contribution at any time, by contacting our Treasury.

Ad Hoc Cash Donations

Ad hoc or one-time donations are always appreciated; they are a valuable contribution towards the operations costs.

Planned Giving

It is our hope to provide as much information as possible so that our kind donors are ready to contemplate the two difficult topics of death and money.  Planned giving insures that after one passes away there is certainty around the deceased’s wishes.  In some world areas there may be local laws which dictate what happens to your assets if you do not have a Will. Wise financial planning can secure your future and that of your loved ones and ensure that your final wishes are met.

If you have been inspired by the charitable causes that Kechara World Peace Centre will undertake and would like to make a difference after your death, you could support by making a charitable bequest.  Bequests can be made through gifts of cash, securities, precious metals and real estate.  If you are interested to explore this option, we are more than happy to have a member of our Executive Committee speak to you/or your professional advisors on your wishes for your estate.

Please feel free to contact us at any time.  Making a bequest to Kechara World Peace Centre in your name leaves an important legacy for the future, ensuring the growth of Dharma for generations to come.

Your inquiry and the information you share will be held in strict confidence.  We will be happy to coordinate with your professional advisors regarding the legal, tax, and financial implications before you decide on any charitable bequest.

Gift of Stock or Property

In many countries, donation of stocks, securities, unit trusts or property entitles you to a tax deduction for the market value of the donated stock.  You can also avoid capital gains tax on any appreciation of the stock by donating the stock prior to sale.  This is a good way to express your generosity while maximizing tax benefits.  If you would like to consider donation of stock to Kechara World Peace Centre, we would like to hear from you.

The Inland Revenue Department of Malaysia stipulates that gifts of money to approved institutions or organizations are tax deductable from aggregate income.

If you would like to make a contribution in one of the above ways we would be happy to talk to you.

Get Involved

Volunteering your time and effort together with us as we undertake the development of Kechara World Peace Centre is one of the most rewarding ways to make a real difference in the lives of others.  Most people join us because they want to give something back to society.

By volunteering, you touch lives and that leaves you the satisfaction of knowing that you have made a lasting impression by your effort.  Also, by understanding others’ difficulties and dedicating time to tackling them together, you gain new skills, witness fresh approaches to all sorts of situations, and acquire greater confidence to draw on in the future.  Volunteering is a hands-on way of building a fairer world, one that allows you to get out of your usual routine and experience a culture that’s often different from your own.

There are many ways in which you could volunteer your services.  If you would like to see how you can help, please drop us a line and we will be glad to fit you in.

Volunteering for one charity you like consistently, is the best medicine for depression, selfishness and self-pity.  Go do it!

You are not doing anyone a favour when you volunteer for a charity.  So be humble.  In fact they are helping you to be human.

Charitable works are crossing a bridge from the selfish mind to altruistic attitude.  So do cross that bridge now.

What do you get from serving others?
HAPPINESS!

What do you get from generosity?
Freedom in the bardo!

What do you get from tolerance?
Popularity, friends and acceptance!

What do you get from being kind?
Love and friendship!

What do you get from not complaining?
More time to do something constructive!!”

I had tried to read some english buddhist books (I am not a mandarin educated person) and a very good friend also advised me to to chant buddha mantras to slowly clear my karma and obstacles. I had tries to chant ever since but I fail to be able concentrate and learn to let go, perhaps I had done too many bad karma in all my pervious lifes and well as this life. I am came accross Kechara website tonight and after reading through some of your articles, Tulku’s advise and also the word peace video I would like to understand is there a Kechara center or association nearby in Bukit Mertajam or Butterworth area where I can visit, learn and contribute in whatever small way that I can manged and afford to give back to the needy and less fortunate people than myself? I hope with this at least I have some good things to focus in and hopefully 1 day Buddha will lead me to the right path and out of my misery and can smile again with a peaceful heart. I cannot travel too far away as I need to earn my living and take care of my 2 youngs kids however I sincerely wish to contribute, learn and find my inner peace so that I can 1 day finally able to let go of all hatred, guilt, pain and suffering from my heart. I am not sure if this is the right place to send this email but whoever read this PLEASE HELP ME, may AMITUOFU bless you, gong de wu liang and gan en.
