This case was picked up by KSK Johor team and KL team took over. Thank you to Pejabat Perhubungan Negeri Sabah K.L for helping in this case and also not forgetting Pusat Transit Gelandangan Kuala Lumpur for providing him shelter. All the best to Tan.

Team NegeriSembilan had a simple and short meeting in MARA College after a long while. Each time we meet, we needed to accomodate a bigger group of participants. The diversity of our group is one of the many reasons that make this a unique team!

KSK Jan 2019 stories

Story 1

*Kechara Food Bank Melaka 2019 New Year Celebration*

An event organised to usher in the new year and hopefully bring some smiles to the underprivileged children. It is also a time to renew hope via activities to show that they are forgotten. It is so important to give the younger generation a feeling of hope and a sense of direction.

After all sharing happiness is free and fulfilling to all involved. KSK is more than just about food or a full tummy.

Story 2

One of our regular team leader, Nik Nazmi seen here briefing the new volunteers who will be tasked to collect and deliver the surplus food to the needy families in PPR. Their participation is much appreciated and made for a meaningful outing for all!

Briefing such as this not only teaches the volunteers about the tasks at hand but also teaches them the safety aspects as well as having empathy for the families.

Story 3

On going distribution to our friends on the streets. This is Anjung Singgah Kuala Lumpur where we distribute food to hundreds here every week.

Here, their medical needs are taken care of as best as we can. The occasional haircut not only spruces them up for potential job placements, but also gives a much needed moral boost. Even counselling services are provided to help them along the way.

Story 4

Saturday nightcounselling session at Pusat Transit Gelandangan Kuala Lumpur. Counselling is one of the services we provide to our street clients. We do not know the circumstances of their falling through the cracks of society. Thus, mental health and a mindset to get out of the conundrum to get back up on their feet will be a much needed helping hand.

Story 5

Happenings at Horizon Hills Johor Bahru,

AChinese New Year bazaar was heldto promote Kechara skill empowerment products.. The link from finished product to consumers.

Events like this help to create awareness and a market for the finished products of the various empowerment projects and their participants. A great great effort by all volunteers which is very much appreciated.
