Not another Khong!

Jean Mei in Amsterdam

She’s young, she’s keen and she’s fresh outta Beijing! She likes her food, knows how to have fun and she loooooves to travel.

Jean Mei graduated just one year ago

So what would motivate a girl with an Accounting and Finance degree from a reputable British university to join Kechara?

What would drive someone who studied Chinese at Beijing University, someone with the world at her feet, to give it all up?

Well, that’s only if you see it as giving it all up!

Whilst her mother Ruby Khong was busy setting up the new Kechara Soup Kitchen building, and her sister Khong Jean Ai was busy writing and working on the Kechara website, another Khong was busy working her way into the Kechara mandala…Khong Jean Mei may only be 21 but already she is joining Kechara full-time!

Jean Mei will fill the role of His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche’s blog secretary. Rinpoche has plenty of things to blog about, so Jean Mei’s little hands will be kept very busy researching and preparing for blog uploads. However, this ever-enthusiastic girl is not daunted by the challenge of spreading Rinpoche’s thoughts and teachings through the web…she’s just keen to get started!

If you happen to see Jean Mei around, be sure to say hi to her!

  1. That’s so cool every time I see someone as nice looking as her who has her priorities on Dharma. I think, that is how more people should be, instead of useless talking heads that look nice, you know? I mean, this life’s too short to waste, thinking you don’t have to do anything cause your a trust fund baby or because your ‘too glamorous’. Good job, Jean Mei.

  2. Whoop whoop for another Khong! May my sister’s journey in Dharma be as successful as my mother’s, with as much benefit as she has brought to others :)

  3. hi Jean mei,

Very glad to know that you have joined the Kechara on a full time basis. Wish you all the best and keep doing what you doing. I’m quite a keen follower of the blog… keeps us normal non committed members connected to what is happening in the organisation and what’s riponche is thinking or working on… thank you very much.

  4. Congratulations Mei! Mummy is sooooo proud of you!
