Long life for the New Year

10 February 2011 - 11:33pm Comments Off

Long life pujas are a wonderful way to create the merit for our Lama’s health to be stable, for his life to be extended and for his Dharma activities to increase and flourish. These pujas nullify negative karma and obstacles that threaten our Lama’s health, life and Dharma activities. The negative karma however, does not originate from the Lama but from our collective negative karma that threatens him all the time. Therefore, it is very meritorious to perform such pujas as the same benefits will also ripen upon us when we have a virtuous motivation.

Tormas for the Drolchok (Tara) puja

Kechara House will be performing four major long life pujas from 14 to 17 February, at 8pm everyday. They are:

Date Puja
14 and 15 February Drolchok (Tara) Puja
16 February Menlha (Medicine Buddha) Puja
17 February Kalarupa Puja

Tara creates favourable conditions for Rinpoche’s Dharma activities to increase, whilst Medicine Buddha clears obstacles towards Rinpoche’s health and extends his life. Kalarupa is powerful in clearing all obstacles and increasing all conducive conditions.

Our lives would never be the same without His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche, his teachings and Kechara organisation – we have all greatly benefited from them. Therefore, for those of us who have received benefits directly or indirectly, let us show some gratitude by returning that kindness by engaging in these pujas. These pujas are also open to the public who wish to benefit from the kindness and teachings of Rinpoche.
