Originally posted on His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche’s blog, here we track the progress of the installation of Kechara House’s new gompa statues…from the arrival, to the preparation to the filling and sealing of the statues! The statues, including a 12-foot Lama Tsongkhapa, were produced by Kechara Discovery and prepared by Kechara Saraswati Arts.

Inside the statues
From 7 November to 12 November 2010, the new statues were filled with holy relics, holy texts, statues, holy images, rolled mantras, pot pourri, pendants, khatas and many other things.
So much work was put into the beautiful statues in our new Kechara Prayer Hall. The statues are set up with so much love and care. Kechara Discovery and Kechara Saraswati Arts Depts were primarily responsible for the statues and their completion…and they did a great job with so much effort from the volunteers.I am proud of all our people who put so much love, care and precision work into these holy statues.
