It seems big big BIG congratulations are in order for two very special people to the Kechara organisation!

At a recent Liaisons Council meeting, another two people instrumental to Kechara’s growth were voted to become FULL Liaisons, from their previous positions as Associate Liaisons…so the Council grew in character, but not in size!

The first person due for congratulations is newly-made Liaison Phng Li Kim, the CEO of Kechara Media & Publications (KMP). The daughter of Kechara House’s President Datuk May Phng, Li Kim has shown the same dedication and devotion to His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche as her indomitable mother. Having taken KMP from strength to strength, media-savvy Li Kim does all she can to Rinpoche’s name and teachings in the most innovative ways, for example through the celebrity of Apprentice Liaison David Lai and Liaison Jamie Khoo.

Then there’s former Associate (and now full!) Liaison Kok Yek Yee, who is the Chinese author of KMP. With her prowess of the Chinese language, and her knowledge of the Dharma, this committed lady single-handedly runs many of the Chinese-language activities that Kechara hosts. She has her hand in many departments, where she works hard to translate their works so that Chinese speakers all over the world can access Rinpoche’s teachings.

With the advent of Kechara World Peace Centre, the upcoming renovation of our new gompa and the everyday expansion of Kechara’s departments, may the full Liaisonship of Li Kim and Yek Yee create the causes for further qualified, dedicated individuals to join Kechara and the Dharma!
