On Sat Oct 25, H.E. Tsem Rinpoche visited Rajkumar, our tailor friend in Nepal who has kindly visited KL many times to share his wonderful skills of making thangka brocades, sewing Buddha statues’ clothes etc. to Kechara Saraswati Arts.
Rajkumar and his wife, two daughters and a son warmly welcomed Rinpoche and Rinpoche’s assistants. Rinpoche gave a Dharma talk to Rajkumar’s family on the importance of family harmony, and about how and why the children should love the parents who have sacrifice so much for them. Rajkumar’s son did very well in translating Rinpoche’s Dharma talk to Nepali for his family.
After that Rinpoche offered Rajkumar a Buddha statue and prayers in Nepali which KB had spent many hours translating from English to Nepali. Rajkumar’s daughter read out the prayers which is now available for the first time in Nepali for the whole family. Rajkumar then offered Rinpoche a Tsongkhapa hat that he made himself and offered delicious lunch which the wife cooked.
Rajkumar started out as a poor tailor, but after years of doing tailoring work for Dharma purposes, his business and fortune grew. He has been able to build his own nice house and is going to send his son overseas to study. Rajkumar believes this is the blessing of his Lama. Rajkumar and family were extremely happy that Rinpoche visited him.
