The puja practising has begun! After the Gaden monks came to teach some of our members a whole range of pujas, and after many late nights of editing, compiling and formatting, the puja group have commenced rehearsals!
They began with the Drolchok (Tara) puja today, first making the tormas before moving on to actual recitations that took in the whole nine yards…out came the bells, vajras, damarus and mudras!

Puja is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘offering’, and to engage in a puja is to engage in a specific set of rituals to invoke the blessings of the Buddhas.

This group are learning 11 different pujas from the sacred Gaden tradition, to teach to Kechara House members later so watch this space for more information!
