To kickstart the kids’ classes by Kechara Saraswati Arts (KSA), Liaison Wan Wong recently led 18 children and 10 parents, as well as the Manjushri Kids’ Class teachers through KSA’s activities.
With Pat, Becky and Albert as volunteers, Wan showed the children the different finishings for KSA’s colourful Lama Tsongkhapa statues before they all did prostrations and recited Saraswati’s mantra together.
True to the spirit of this artistic department, the children then got down to colouring some pet photos, to remind them of the compassion they should develop for all sentient beings, including those who cannot thank us when we help them.

Manjushri Kids’ Class is Kechara House’s education initiative to promote Dharma and the attitudes of compassion, wisdom and universal responsibility amongst our children. Taught by enthusiastic volunteers, the class aims to give children a head start in their practice of the Six Paramitas, by teaching them generosity, ethics, patience, joyous effort, concentration and wisdom.
