KSJC is moving to a bigger place!

Kechara (Johor) previously known as Kechara Southern Jewel Chapel (KSJC), first opened its chapel doors to the public in middle of 2009. 3 years on, the committee decided that it is time for the JB chapter to move to a bigger premise to accommodate the growing number of people coming to the chapel.

The monthly rental of the new place will be sponsored by the committee and the renovation process was not without hiccups. With the blessing of H.E. Tsem Rinpoche, the committee overcame all sorts of obstacles and problems faced. Harmony and cooperation of the group were strengthened during the process. Kechara (Johor) President Alan Chan and committee member Steven Chew were very hands on with the work by doing the wood covering themselves to expedite the renovation.

After the renovation work on the first floor was done, the committee is now focusing on how to attract even more people around the area to join Kechara activities and make Dharma grow. We are really excited to introduce Kechara to everyone in Johor Bahru!

If you would like to know more about the activities of Kechara (Johor) or wish to contribute to our endeavours, please contact Alan Chan at alan.chan@kechara.com.
