How often do we see injustice in the world?
The corrupt get greedier,
Abuse, hopelessness, betrayal and depression.
Deep down we know that we can be more than who we are today,
Someone who makes a difference.
That time is now.
The time for change.
To fight for what is right.
Show people you care.
Leave your legacy. Reach out.

As we all come from different backgrounds, different walks of life, with different aspirations and dreams, but every single one of us seeks the same goal, which is to be happy. We often look for happiness in the material world, with retail therapy, acquiring the latest gadgets, fashions, vacations and the latest distractions. Yet, sometimes, what we are looking for may be right there in front of us.
Kechara is a Buddhist organisation was founded in 2000 by our spiritual guide, His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche of Gaden Shartse Monastery, who makes the ancient wisdom of Buddha’s authentic teachings. His teachings are timeless and universally relevant, available to modern practitioners in Malaysia and the surrounding regions.
Using creative and contemporary methods to reach the spiritual seeker via their natural interests, be it reading, shopping, art, travel, dining, etc, Kechara seeks to provide a comfortable and nurturing environment for spiritual aspirants to learn and equip themselves with tools to develop inner and outer peace.
Each week, Kechara organizes pujas (prayer sessions) and Dharma classes for both adults and children. Disregarding racial, cultural and even religious background, amongst our purpose is to offer a helping hand and a listening ear to those in need, giving all visitors a beautiful, calming environment to discover peace, clarity and many methods to a happier way of living.
The Kechara Buddhist organisation encompasses a variety of activities including a soup kitchen, an arts studio, a publishing house, Dharma retail outlets, a film production house and a vegetarian restaurant. For more information on any of the KECHARA departments and activities, visit www.kechara.com
