Kechara held its 2012 Ullambana Setrap Prayer on the 20th and 21st August, in conjunction with the 7th month Hungry Ghost festival. We have been organising this event annually for the past few years. It was a two hour Setrap prayer which was conducted in both English and Chinese.

Our Kechara prayer hall (gompa) was filled with a total of 180 participants for both days. Besides doing the prayer, the participants also offered candles and flowers to the three jewels and dedicated the merits to their loved ones. Not only that, by participating in this prayer, obstacles can be cleared and merits can be accumulated as the greatest gift to our loved ones who have left this life.
