KSK Malaysian Annual Gala Dinner 2012 A Success!

Kechara Soup Kitchen Malaysia Annual Gala Dinner 2012 was held in Shangrila KL Grand Ballroom. It was a fun and relaxing evening for all our guests as there was no protocol, with a fine dining menu prepared by our co-sponsor Shangri La Kuala Lumpur and entertainment provided by The Dance Company and Dato’ Leonard Tan.

The Dance Company was formed in the late 80′s by Malaysian born Peter Choo (now citizen of Japan), having performed extensively locally and abroad. They are still performing in Lido Theatre, USA and Galaxy in Macau. Dato’ Leonard is a celebrity comedian, fondly known as The Man With 1,000 voices.

Our sponsors Mouawad, Christofle, Truefitt & Hill and Loreal donated generously in kind for raffles draw and door gifts. Tatler Malaysia was also part of our organising committee. We are thankful for whatever we were able to raise during this event, which goes towards the incresing operating costs of running the soup kitchen and mobile medical care.  Below are pictures of the event.

The final briefing before the ballroom door was open. Terence Tan, one of Malaysia's leading event organisers, has kindly been volunteering as our Floor Manager for all of Kechara's fundraising dinners

Mark Stephan Felix, the eloquent and highly sought after emcee of the evening. He will be known as Dr. Mark after this as he has just completed his Doctorate in Sociology
