Kechara House’s History…Filmed!

At Kechara House, every day is history in the making but how many of us really know about Kechara’s history?

How many of us know the struggles of the early days, about the obstacles faced and surmounted by H.E. Tsem Rinpoche and his students?

How many of us know truly how quickly Kechara has grown, and how Kechara got to the position it is in today?

On 10th December 2009, some of Rinpoche’s most senior students gathered to talk about Kechara House’s history. In an interview facilitated by Kechara Soup Kitchen‘s President, Liaison Ruby Khong, the group discussed everything from the time of Rinpoche’s first visit to Malaysia in 1992, right up until the present day.

Filmed by Kechara InMotion, talk flew thick and fast between Chia Song Peng, Apprentice Liaison David Lai, Anila, Director of Kechara Oasis Irene Lim, Head of Kechara Paradise Liaision Henry Ooi, Margaret Lee and Tan Sio Chian…and before we knew it, four hours of filming were over!

Keep your eyes peeled for the soon-to-be-released DVD and learn about the centre that you call your spiritual home!

Thank you to Kechara InMotion (Chris Tan, Head of Department Han Siew Fong and a very mysterious Howie Loh!) for filming!
