Kechara Books: The Living Buddha Within by Tsem Rinpoche
The Living Buddha Within is Tsem Rinpoche's latest book, with teachings
on the basic tenets of Buddhism presented in a clear and down-to-earth
manner. Rinpoche makes the concepts of reincarnation, karma and the need
for everyone to cultivate the avoidance of non-virtues easy to understand
and apply in our everyday lives. Priced at RM25, it is available at leading
bookstores and at Kechara outlets.
This Sunday 22 July, at 10.45am, I will be sharing about this book as its editor
at Kechara Care Lounge, so please do come and join us.
A Message from the Liaisons Council
It is with deep regret that I am writing to inform you of the resignation of Mr
Ngeow Voon Chin, his wife, Yap Yoke Fui and daughter, Ngeow Su An from
Kechara. They had decided last week to resign from all their positions in
Kechara and on Friday 13 July, Mr Ngeow and Yoke Fui have returned their
respective pastor's and liaisons' vows in front of Lord Setrap at the Gompa.
Mr Ngeow and family had requested that they only wished to speak with
Liaison Paul, and that the reasons for leaving were personal. One of the main
reasons Mr Ngeow gave for leaving was that he could not fulfil his obligations
of a pastor such as being on-call 24/7.
Perhaps some others may have spoken personally with Mr Ngeow, Yoke Fui
or Su An and learnt more. However, it is the decision of the Liaisons Council
that we will respect the wishes of Mr Ngeow and family and not pursue the
reasons for their resignation and leaving. This said, they are members of
Kechara and we will always welcome them in Kechara in their personal
capacities. We understand that many Kecharians are affected by this news
and tears have been shed. Please feel free to contact the Liaisons and
Pastors Susan, Yek Yee or Chia should you wish to have further clarification.
We wish Mr Ngeow and family well. May they always continue to practice the
Dharma and may the teachings of Tsem Rinpoche continue to resonate with
them.
Sincerely,
The Liaisons Council of Kechara
