Established in 2009, Kechara Oasis Jaya One, nestled in the busy uptown hub of Petaling Jaya, is our first vegetarian restaurant. This flagship restaurant comfortably seats up to 210 guests in the main dining area.

Kechara Oasis was inspired by H.E. Tsem Rinpoche, the Spiritual Guide of the Kechara organisation, who wishes to promote a greater awareness of a vegetarian lifestyle.

Ms. Irene Lim, the founder and director of KO and also a student of H. E. Tsem Rinpoche for the last 17 years was prompted by His Eminence to start a vegetarian restaurant.  She immediately embraced the idea with gusto and has not looked back since. Her odyssey of spiritual self-discovery through His Eminence’s teachings has enriched her life immensely, and they both share the same conviction in eating with compassion. Her dedicated efforts have resulted in making His Eminence’s vision a reality.

Kechara Oasis makes vegetarian cuisine healthy, delicious, exciting and available to everyone. It also serves a greater purpose which is to provide a beautiful place where people of different walks of life can come together to enjoy a truly unbelievable culinary experience in every sense of the word.
