Loving Lester

Lester, who was burnt by hot oil thrown on to him, has finally left the vet after two months. He has recovered from the burn but his fur will most likely never grow back.

This picture was given by Loh, a lady who has been caring and feeding Lester since he was a puppy. Due to personal circumstances, Loh was not able to home Lester. It meant he had to live on the streets.

However, Lester would walk with Loh each day to her work place at the market and stay with her till she returned home. One day, Loh found Lester in serious pain – someone had thrown hot oil all over him. Loh was taken to the vet for treatment.

Loh came to see Lester on his last day at the vet and to meet the new family who will be taking care of him. Lester was so happy to see Loh, and they played with each other quite a bit. Loh is in touch and calls Susan regularly regarding Lester.

Lester, who suffered a spell of bad luck, is now happy in his new home where he has made friends with the family’s other dog, Jannic. Lester loves to go for walks and gulps his food quicker than you can blink your eye so it shouldn’t be too difficult to fatten him up!

May the merits created by rescuing such animals as Lester go towards the quick manifestation of the Kechara Animal Sanctuary. We are currently looking for a 20 to 30 acre piece of land no more than 40 minutes drive away from Kuala Lumpur. We are also seeking people skilled in animal care to join us in making this place a haven for animals.

Imagine a place where animals can roam free, and able to live their lives out as they wish, never having to worry about food, shelter, warmth and love…or hot oil!
