Rehearsing Tsongkhapa!

16 September 2009 - 7:24pm Comments Off

The very first Tsongkhapa play rehearsal was held at a studio in Paramount Gardens last Saturday 13th September.  Kechara members and friends including Howie Loh, Jace Chong, Tan Sio Chian, Jesse Lee and Bradley Wong were led through their steps by main dancer Lee Swee Keong and director Woon Fook Sen.

This is the first of a series of rehearsals in preparation for the Tsongkhapa play scheduled to be staged sometime in mid December 2009. Organised by Kechara House, the play aims to create awareness of the illustrious life of the Buddhist saint and scholar, Lama Tsongkhapa (1357-1419) who is the founder of the Gelugpa school of Tibetan Buddhism of which Kechara House is part of.

We are still looking for more male members to participate in the play. If you are interested, please contact Kok Yek Yee at +6012 388 3390 or
