A Pure Land in our troubled world
Offering doorways to inner peace
For all who visit…
We feel perfectly healthy when all physical, mental, spiritual and emotional aspects of our lives are working in total harmony and balance. Trying to maintain any equilibrium can be a struggle as we are constantly subjected to influences such as stress, poor diet, pollution and improper lifestyle that serve to upset our inner equilibrium. Kechara World Peace Centre will be a place of alternative learning that aims at helping to rebalance that inner equilibrium.
We face various difficult situations in our lives. They are difficult in that they cause us pain. Pain does not need to be in a physical way; it can also be in a mental way. We all have many different levels and types of problems. There are some that are very gross and hurt us very much, either physically, or mentally, or both. Yet there are others that are a little bit more subtle, but are very painful nonetheless. We enjoy various things in life, but are still frustrated because they do not fully satisfy us. They do not last forever. Nothing in our life is stable; they keep changing.
Everybody is in the same predicament, whether rich or poor. On a gross level, we all have the usual difficulties of being born, growing up, getting sick, getting old and dying, in addition to the other day-to-day problems that we face. These problems arise from causes; they do not just spring out of nowhere. The real source of our problems is our confusion about reality. However it is not that we are condemned to suffer in this state forever; that it was possible to end this situation, to stop having these problems in such a way that they do not ever recur.
The main aim of Kechara World Peace Centre would be to teach these skills, living skills that empower the individual to explore their fullest potential. At KWPC, we impart methods of cultivating the mind; attitude-training or mind-training methods that can help us change negative circumstances into positive ones.
We have everything that we need – technology, comfort, convenience. Physically, we’re not suffering anymore but so much suffering now happens within our minds.
