These English-language Dharma classes have been specially designed by Kechara’s Education Division to introduce students to Tibetan Buddhism and create a firm foundation for further study.

Year 1 – Beginners
Year 1 is an Introduction to Tibetan Buddhism that provides students with a firm foundation for further study and higher teachings such as the Lamrim. Specially designed for those with little or no knowledge of Buddhism, this course allows students to familiarise themselves with core Buddhist principles and applications as practiced here at Kechara, following the teachings of His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche and the Gelug lineage.
Year 2 – Intermediate
Year 2 is an Introduction to Lamrim (Graduated Path to Enlightenment), covering basic practices and methods. This year sets out the foundational step-by-step methods to practice Buddhism on the path towards Enlightenment, following the systematic method as practiced within the Gelug lineage of Tibetan Buddhism.
Year 3 – Advanced
This is continuation of the Lamrim course, covering the Great Scope. This level includes the teaching of Shantideva’s Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life.
